Please join us in celebrating another great year of sport and society at our annual end of year award ceremony.
The ISSC has gone from strength to strength in 2012 with a clean sweep of the football titles in the Western Canadian Championships. For the third year running we entered teams in the North American County Board Championships. Despite the long distance and resources needed to travel to Philadelphia, our committed hurlers and men’s and ladies’ footballers made their mark and reminded everybody that Vancouver GAA is a force to be reckoned with.
In addition, this would not have been possible without the tireless work and donations of time and money from the members of the club. We are run on a volunteer basis and this night is in no small part a recognition of the effort put in on multiple levels.
Dinner will be served and of course there will be a bar on the night.
Only 200 tickets available, $30.00 plus service fees. ($35 if not pre-booked)

The business end of the season has arrived. The ISSC is headed to Philadelphia, PA for the North American County Board (NACB) Championships this Friday, Saturday and (hopefully) Sunday, August 31st-September 2nd.
Three teams will represent us: Men’s football, Ladies’ football and the hurlers who are making their third consecutive appearance at the championships. There will also be Vancouver ladies playing in the colours of Seattle – a bit of cross-border co-operation never hurt anyone. Of course the WAGs and HABs will also be in attendance cheering on the boys and girls in green, gold, blue, and white (pick any three).

Due to the committee being away for this weekend, please allow time for any communications to be answered during this busy period.
The ISSC is holding its annual fundraiser at the Croatian Cultural Centre (3250 Commercial Drive, Vancouver) on Friday August 17th, 2012 from 7pm. This is to help cover the costs of the ISSC participating in the North American County Board Finals in Philadelphia from Aug 31 to Sep 2. Vancouver players will be playing in all four codes and you can help send them there!
There’ll be a full race card on the night (our members are busy getting horse sponsorship in advance of the big night) with prize money for the winners. There will be a bookies so friendly wagers on the races can be placed. Races will be on a big screen and live commentary will be provided by the best Vancouver have to offer. The bar will be open serving alcohol so it will be 19 years and over to enter.
Bring your friends along for a great evening and enjoy a Friday night at the races. Join the Facebook event
We are pleased to announce another Youth Gaelic Camp, this time for the August long weekend. It will be hosted at Capilano Rugby Club at Klahanie Park, West Vancouver, in conjunction with Western Canada Championship Week-end 2012.
Great interest has been expressed so far for the event with both local and Albertan families planning on attending. Please advise as early as possible at email@example.com:
- whether you plan to make the event
- the ages of your participants
- 9am to 10am – Age Group: 10 and younger

From the people who brought you the Vancouver Tournament 2012 comes the sequel – Western Canadian Championships 2012! Hosted over Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th of the August long weekend, all four codes will see plenty of action.
Competitors are coming from far and wide to participate in what are sure to be the most hotly contested games in years. Calgary’s Chieftans, Edmonton’s Wolfe Tones, Redbridge Éire Óg and the Shamrocks of Fort McMurray will do battle with the local Vancouver Harps, Celts and JP Ryans and fireworks are guaranteed (in English Bay at least).
The bar will be open during the game days and there will also be a food truck available. Full washroom facilities are available.
