Tournament a Great Success

This year’s Vancouver Tournament was a full weekend of sports and entertainment with both a Ladies and Gents football Championship and a Hurling Championship.

There were travelling teams from Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer and Seattle.

Gaelic Football Tournament winners Vancouver Celts Ladies beat the Vancouver Harps 4-6 to 4-4 in their see-saw final. The team was presented with the Kevin McFadden Memorial Trophy.

The Vancouver Celts Men beat the Edmonton Wolfe Tones 0-11 to 0-9 in extra time after a 0-7 to 0-7 draw had been first played. The Celts were presented with the JJ Hyland Memorial Trophy.

The Vancouver Hurling team nipped the NACB Seattle Gaels by a point. The hurlers were presented the West Limerick Holdings Ltd. Challenge Plaque.
